Our Development Methodology - ASOC Ready

ZTQ Solutions subscribes to a development methodology we call ASOC Ready, which stands for Appropriately Skilled, Organisationally Compatible and Ready to do the job.

It is a flexible series of recruitment and training-related processes that together lead to excellent learning outcomes and productive employees.

The subcomponents of the ASOC Ready produce a series of outputs, each of which is an essential input into the next step in the process and together they form a consistent approach to human learning and development. The quality of the final end-result i.e., a knowledgeable, skilled, motivated and productive employee, is the sum of the quality from each output.

ASOC Ready is best conceptualised visually but the simplicity of the concepts and processes in Figure 1 don’t do justice to the complexities that underly them.

Our Supporting Technology

t-LMS Pillars

A key driver behind the ASOC Ready process is the t-LMS program. Figure 2 illustrates the eight pillars of the t-LMS program. Each pillar offers a set of functions that together enable the end-to-end management of learners and qualifications.

What differentiates the t-LMS from other LMS programs are the following features:

  • Its origin as a South African product.
  • Its close design around the concepts of the NQF.
  • Its wide range of training functionalities that span from advertising learning opportunities to printing certificates and everything in between.
  • Its cost effectiveness.
  • Its role-based design, based as it is, on all players in the training process being able to collaborate on delivering learning.
  • Its productivity enhancing capability arising from the triggered auto-email function that drives the workflow process.
  • Its online portfolio of evidence as well as online marking and moderation.
  • Its auto-tracking capability that provides real-time or emailed information on learners’ progress and performance.
  • Its capability to manage the processes of both online learning and classroom-based learning.
  • Its vast array of approximately 130 reports and on-screen views of data.

The Role-players

The t-LMS is not like a static spreadsheet for capturing learners results! It is a dynamic ever-changing digital record of everything that's needed to run a qualification.

The data is constantly being updated and driven by a number of role-players, and the workflow is triggered (and driven) by user actions which send automated email messages to relevant other users.
