We are currently accepting applications for a 3-month long skills program in data analytics with Power BI to be run in Centurion.

Location: Centurion - Gauteng Province
Demographic: 18 – 35 years old. You must be able to travel to Centurion daily.
Delivery: Full time (classroom delivery; online assessments; practical exercises; and work-based project)
Stipend: R3500.00 per month
Closing Date: 15 November 2025
Start Date: 19 January 2026
Computer: You do not need to have your own computer device, but it is strongly advised you do. In need, ZTQ Solutions will supply you with WiFi data and a device to use - at the training venue only.

Learning focus:

Primarily on interpreting existing data, identifying trends, creating reports and visualisations, and providing insights to support business decisions. Data Analysts often work with structured data.

Learning programme structure:

1. Foundational training: Data Analyst (Duration: 10 days). In-classroom and facilitated.
2. Practice phase: (Duration: 5 days). In-classroom and facilitated.
3. Exam preparation: (Duration: 5 days). In-classroom and minimal facilitation.
4. Exam sitting: PL-300 exam. Entry requirement: A competent result on the Practice Phase exercises. You will take the exam. (Duration: 2 -3 hours). A maximum of one attempt will be allowed.
5. Workplace experience phase. (Duration: 1 month). Placement will be subject to passing the exam and ZTQ Solutions’ ability to find a company who willing to accept you.
6. Certificate earned: Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate.

Criteria:

Mandatory Requirements: To be selected you MUST show that you meet the following requirements:

1. Be a South African citizen between the ages of 18 and 36.
2. Must hold an IT qualification, in a quantitative field (i.e., focuses heavily on numbers, data, mathematics, and statistical reasoning), at NQF Level 7 or 8 or a 3-year Bachelor’s Degree or a 4-year Honours Degree. Examples of quantitative fields include: 

• Statistics
• Mathematics
• Economics
• Physics
• Engineering
• Finance
• Computer Science
• Data Science
• Information Systems

3. You must have completed the degree.
4. A knowledge and experience of the following must be proven:

• Statistics
• SQL
• Experience in Microsoft Technologies such as MS Office and/or Office 365.

5. Receive a Class I rating on the ZTQ Solutions’ Recruitment and Selection battery of assessments. You will do these after your application has been accepted.
6. Be able to attend classes in Centurion, full-time. 
7. You may not be employed (full time, part-time or project work) or busy studying any other qualification (full or part-time) for the duration of the qualification.

Desirable Requirement:

Be in possession of your own laptop with the following minimum specification:

1. a. Intel Core i3 processor
2. b. SSD hard drive
3. c. 200gb free space
4. d. 8gb RAM

What happens after you apply?

1. ZTQ Solutions (or our agents) will review your application and accept or reject it based on whether or not you meet the mandatory criteria. You will receive an email informing you of this decision, irrespective of if you have been accepted or not.
2. If you are accepted, you will be automatically registered as a user of the t-LMS – our learning management program. You will receive an email with your initial log in credentials. 
3. Soon thereafter, you will be enrolled on the battery of ZTQ Solutions’ Recruitment & Selection assessments, which you need to take online, using the t-LMS. Most of the assessments are short – ten, multiple-choice questions, but some assessments may have a few more questions. One assessment requires you to view a video before answering the questions.  So, make sure you have at least 200mb of data for all the assessments or otherwise you must take the assessments from our training venue in Centurion. We will give you 7 days to take the assessments – no extensions will be allowed.
4. After you’ve taken the assessments, we will review the results and shortlist the successful candidates for an interview.
5. The interview will be held at the training centre in Centurion or virtually.
6. We will notify the successful candidates of their acceptance after the interviews are all complete.
7. You will be given a Learner contract to sign, scan and upload against your account on the t-LMS.
8. Wait for the course to commence.
